Since May 28th, a new demand responsive bus service, funded by Government, has started operating within the Somerton zone, covering places such as Barton St Davids, Langport, and Lydford-on-Fosse. This service allows people to access local amenities such as shops, doctor’s appointments, visiting friends and family, and days out in the local area.

Anyone can use the service as long as there isn’t a public bus running the same route. There are dozens of pickup/drop-off points across the Somerton network.

 

Bookings must be made at least 1 hour in advance either via the Somerton Slinky mobile app or by calling the booking office on 01823 359999. The bus service runs Monday-Friday 7am-7pm.
